Frédéric Jans-Cooremans

Frédéric Jans-Cooremans is Head of STIB (Public Transport company of Brussels) Traffic Telecom Department and have many years of experience in radio communications applications.

Frédéric’s day-to-day activities concern the operation of radio connections between the STIB vehicles (more than 1.000) and the traffic control centers, as well as CCTV network. He takes part in or manages a number of projects such as in Pulsar (DCS part of the CBTC Metro signaling) and the new digital voice radio.

Part of the Spectrum Users Group (led by UITP) Frédéric works on the harmonization of a radio band for CBTC users.
