Richard Thomas

Richard has worked in the transport industry for more than 42 years. He was a founder member of the Oyster Card project team in London and worked through the various phases of the project delivery until retiring from Transport for London in 2006. He worked in the Oyster team for 11 years. He has expertise in all aspects of the Oyster card delivery and has been the face of Oyster for overseas visits to London from transport operators from around the world.
He previously worked in various positions at Transport for London and Cubic Transportation Systems Ltd, including District Line Manager, Marketing Director, Business Development Manager for Asia (Hong Kong). In his current position of Customer Relationship Manager he is responsible for developing diverse business opportunities outside of Fares and Ticketing across the UK.
